At this point in time, we have not yet developed a fully automated module to measure the lengths of horizontal confined tracks. That, indeed, is our objective, and we are intending to enter a further research project with Prof. Gleadow's group soon, to try to achieve that more difficult goal. Of course, once we have reached that particular goal, we will offer a software upgrade path to our existing clients.

In the meantime, our current semi-automated systems (which have been available for some years) allow the user to measure track lengths by presenting a high-quality image (derived by means of a high-resolution digital camera) on the computer screen, and clicking on each end of the track to be measured. This results in highly accurate track length measurements, but obviously human intervention is still required for this technique. This software is, of course, included in the automated counting systems we are supplying at this time.
